JS Baltija 2

The interactive map system JS Baltija 2 is designed for the widest range of users. To work with this system you do not need any special computer equipment. You can use the Latvian, Russian, Lithuanian or English language.

Main updates in program JS Baltija 2:

• Plans of Tallinn, all towns of Latvia and plans of the biggest towns in Lithuania in scale from 1:10 000 to 1:25 000.
• 21 Latvian district maps in scale 1:100 000 and particular territory maps.
• The topographic map in scale 1:50 000 and ortofoto maps from Latvian Geospatial Information Agency.
• Road map of Latvia and Lithuania in scale 1:200 000.
• Baltic overview maps in scale from 1:500 000 to 1:2 000 000.

JS Baltija 2 has been developed in four modifications that have identical sets of data and maps, but different functionality.

Modules

1. Shapefile Exchange - provides importation of *.shp files into JS Latvija and data exportation as *.shp files for use in other programs.

2. User Base - unlimited number of user objects in the database. JS Baltija 2 Standard and GPS versions have limited user object quantity, accordingly 20 and 50. With "User Base" module it is possible to develop database with almost unlimited amount of user objects.

3. Address Link - manages automatic conjunction of objects to the map within territory of Riga according to the address and cities of Latvia according to the street name. You can move all objects from a certain database to the database of JS Baltija 2 if the addresses of the objects are stated.

4. Map Image - gives a possibility to export a raster map with all objects from the active view to *.bmp or *.jpg file.

5. Map File - gives a possibility to save the map displayed on the screen as *.bmp or *.jpg file together with its coordinate registration files (*.jpgw, *.bmpw). Graphical file with coordinate information will enable you to open the map in other graphical information systems (GIS).

6. Map Export OziExplorerCE - for exporting maps to OziExplorerCE. From the area witch you see in your monitor program will save all possible maps in all scales. Limitations - maximal resolution of one map is 2000x2000 pixels, and maximal amount of all pixels saved in one time is 12 000 000 pixels, so you can save more than one map at once. Maps are saved together with coordinate registration files, so you can bond them with GPS and see your exact place of location.

7. GPS Report - in program you can make simple reports. For more advanced reports for your GPS tracks you can purchase separate report module.
