Regional tourism maps of Lithuania

Jāņa sēta has developed a new series of maps - regional tourism maps of Latvia in scale 1: 200 000, that covers the whole territory of Latvia – Northern Kurzeme, Southern Kurzeme, Middle Latvia, Northern Vidzeme, Southern Latgale, Eastern Vidzeme and Northern Latgale.

The cartographical material contains the necessary information for each traveller:

  • detailed road network;
  • populated places and farmsteads;
  • forests, swamps;
  • places of cultural interest – castles, museums;
  • nature objects – hills, castle mounds, protected nature territories;
  • tourism objects – hotels, accommodation, tourist information centers;
  • filling stations etc.

    Several objects are maped for the first time – birdwatching sites, biggest colonies of white storks (Ciconia ciconia (L.)), pastures of wild horses and cows, farms of exotic birds. A separate symbol in maps – a red star – is given to former bases of USSR Armed forces.

    The edition of each region is supplemented with town plans in scale 1: 20 000.

    Regional tourism maps is a new product that will help to find and know outstanding objects of culture and nature.
