Aprašymas
The map displays the postal codes of 512 parishes and towns in Latvia, with 34 postal codes of the city of Riga specifically highlighted. These are shown on a map of Latvia with the names of municipalities and towns, as well as the territorial boundaries of parishes.
In total, the map includes 562 Latvian postal codes, along with major roads, rivers, lakes, and the largest cities.
A postal code, or index, is a combination of letters and numbers added to a postal address to facilitate the sorting of letters and parcels before delivery to the recipient. In Latvia, a postal code consists of two parts: the letters “LV” (Latvia’s international code) and a four-digit number, where the first two digits represent the administrative district code and the last two digits indicate the post office number. The postal code is the most important part of an address. Correct use of the code is one of the key conditions for receiving quality postal services!
